BluSky Trading is a US-based futures prop firm. It runs two futures paths — Evaluations, offered in three modes that differ by evaluation speed and price (Launch, Propel, and Orbit), and Instant funding (Instant Funding and Direct 2 Funded) — plus a separate Stocks Intraday equities program. Traders keep 90% of profits on evaluation accounts (80% on Instant), with daily payouts Monday–Friday and more than $10M paid out to date.
BluSky is best for traders who want to choose how fast they move through the evaluation. Launch is the lowest-cost entry with a two-trading-day minimum; Propel is the most popular and offers the widest range of sizes (25K–300K) over three trading days; Orbit is the fastest, clearing in as little as one trading day with no evaluation consistency rule. Every mode uses an end-of-day trailing drawdown on smaller sizes and a fixed static drawdown on larger ones. Instant Funding and Direct 2 Funded skip the evaluation entirely, and the funded path leads to a real Live Brokerage account.
The 30-second verdict
For the lowest-cost path to funded, start with Launch ($59/mo at 50K, or $19/mo with code RETURN). Want the most popular setup or a specific size up to 300K? Choose Propel. Want the fastest evaluation with no consistency rule? Go Orbit. Want to skip the evaluation? Instant Funding ($50K) and Direct 2 Funded ($3.5K) fund you immediately. Everything is futures-only; evaluation accounts pay 90/10 and Instant accounts pay 80/20.

| $50K Eval (from) | $59/mo (Launch) | ~$165 | ~$165 |
| Profit Split | 90% / 10% (80/20 Instant) | 100% first $10K, then 90% | 90% / 10% |

💡 Bottom line: BluSky wins on daily payouts and on choice — three evaluation modes (Launch, Propel, Orbit), two instant paths, and a separate stocks program. Bulenox counters with rock-bottom entry pricing and a flexible trailing-or-EOD drawdown choice; Topstep brings the strongest reputation and the highest score here with a simple end-of-day model. Your pick depends on which dimension matters most.
BluSky is the rare prop firm that lives up to its marketing. We looked across all six offers — the three futures evaluation modes (Launch, Propel, and Orbit), both instant paths (Instant Funding and Direct 2 Funded), and the Stocks Intraday equities program. Payouts are daily, Monday through Friday, and requests submitted before 11 AM ET are processed the same business day. With more than $10M paid out, BluSky has a real track record behind the marketing.
Launch & Static: where most traders should start
The Launch evaluation is the lowest-cost entry, with a two-trading-day minimum; Propel is the most popular, offering the widest range of sizes from 25K to 300K over three trading days; Orbit is the fastest, clearing in as little as one trading day with no evaluation consistency rule. All three are 1-step, and each uses an end-of-day trailing drawdown on smaller sizes and a fixed static drawdown on larger ones.
Orbit: the fastest way through the evaluation
For traders confident they can hit the target quickly, Orbit clears in as little as one trading day and carries no evaluation consistency rule, so you can take the most direct line to your profit target. Once funded, payouts are available every three trading days with a 40% consistency rule — a different rhythm from the daily payouts on Launch and Propel.
Instant Funding & Direct 2 Funded
For traders ready to skip evaluation, Instant Funding ($50K) and Direct 2 Funded ($3.5K) fund you immediately on an 80/20 split, with a 21% consistency rule. Once a funded account clears $10K in profit it converts to a real Live Brokerage account. The catch across instant funding is that there are no resets — a breached account is gone, and you buy again (usually at a discount).
Where BluSky isn't perfect
The 21% consistency rule on Instant Funding is the main friction point — one big day caps how much the rest can contribute. There are no resets on instant accounts, so a breach ends the account. And the Launch evaluation carries a $99–$179 activation fee at funding on top of the monthly price (Propel and Orbit have none; instant accounts are $0).
But for the typical futures trader — pass once, get funded, and collect automated payouts — BluSky is one of the most direct routes there is. Its combination of competitive pricing, a 90/10 profit split on evaluations (80/20 on Instant), and daily payouts is hard to beat.
What you need to know
Four key rules that govern how eligibility works in practice.
How fast does BluSky actually pay out?
Payouts are processed daily, Monday through Friday — requests submitted before 11 AM ET are paid the same business day, otherwise the next business day. The minimum payout is $250, and your balance must be at least $250 above your starting balance with one profitable trading day between requests. There is no minimum number of trading days, and once a funded account clears $10K in profit it converts to a real Live Brokerage account.
Does BluSky sell multi-account bundles?
Yes — on three of the six products. At checkout, buying three accounts at once discounts the per-account price: Orbit −33% (50K $199 → $133.33 each, 150K $419 → $280.73 each), Instant Funding −50% ($599 → $299.50 each) and Direct 2 Funded −25% ($749 → $561.75 each). Launch, Propel and Stocks Intraday have no bundle. Note the Instant Funding bundle is not better per account than code RETURN, which already takes a single account to $299 — and BluSky caps you at 3 funded accounts, so check the cap before buying three.
What's the difference between Launch, Propel, Orbit, Instant Funding, Direct 2 Funded and Stocks?
Launch, Propel, and Orbit are the three evaluation modes, differing mainly by speed and price: Launch has a two-trading-day minimum, Propel offers the widest range of sizes over three trading days, and Orbit is the fastest at one trading day with no evaluation consistency rule. All three are 1-step. Instant Funding ($50K) and Direct 2 Funded ($3.5K) skip the evaluation and fund you immediately on an 80/20 split. Stocks Intraday ($2K/$4K/$7K) is a separate US equities program on a 90/10 split — a much slower route, with a 30 trading-day minimum inside a 60-day window and a 30% consistency rule.
What's the consistency rule and how does it work?
It limits how much of your total profit can come from a single trading day when you request a payout. The rule is 50% on the Launch evaluation and 34% on Propel (21% on the 300K); Orbit has no evaluation consistency rule but applies 40% once funded; Instant accounts use 21%. A single oversized day doesn't breach the account — it just delays a payout until you've built more balanced profit.
What platforms does BluSky support?
BluSky supports eight platforms: Tradovate, NinjaTrader, DeepCharts, Bookmap, Sierra Chart, Quantower, R|Trader Pro, and Jigsaw. Free real-time market data is included on all accounts, with web and mobile access so you can manage positions on the go.
Can I trade news events on BluSky?
Yes — BluSky allows news trading, scalping, and bot/automated trading (with ownership verification). Martingale and dollar-cost-averaging are allowed. Hedging across accounts is not permitted.
Can I hold positions overnight or over the weekend?
No. All positions must be flat by 4:59 PM ET each trading day; overnight and weekend holding isn't permitted on any account, regardless of type.
How many funded accounts can I have?
Up to 3 funded accounts at a time. Account sizes range from $25K up to $300K depending on the product. Each account is treated independently for drawdown, daily loss limits, and consistency calculations.
What happens if I breach my account?
There are no resets. A breached account — evaluation or funded — is closed, and you'd purchase a new one to try again. BluSky frequently offers a discount on a fresh attempt rather than a traditional reset.
Is BluSky legit?
Yes. BluSky Trading is a US-based futures prop firm. It offers daily payouts Monday through Friday, account sizes up to $300K, and has paid out more than $10M to traders. Evaluation accounts pay a 90/10 split; Instant accounts pay 80/20.
