The cheapest verified first-pass path in this comparison is Topstep's $50K No Activation Fee path at $95, before tax and trading commissions. Tradeify Growth is $145 with no activation fee. Topstep Standard starts at $49 per month but costs $198 after its $149 activation fee. Take Profit Trader's regular first-pass total is $300, while its currently advertised NOFEE40 offer reduces the firm's specific first-pass example to $102 and waives activation.
The baseline below uses public list prices and plan-specific official help pages checked on July 21, 2026. It assumes the trader passes within the stated attempt or billing period. Sales tax, usage-based trading commissions, optional software, and costs after a funded-account breach are excluded.
01. $50K cost comparison at list price
| $50K path | Billing | Evaluation | Reset | Activation | First pass | One reset, then pass | Three attempts, then pass | Five first-pass accounts |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Topstep Standard | Monthly | $49 | $49 | $149 | $198 | $247 | $296 | $990 |
| Topstep No Activation Fee | Monthly | $95 | $95 | $0 | $95 | $190 | $285 | $475 |
| Tradeify Growth | One-time | $145 | $95 | $0 | $145 | $240 | $335 | $688.75 with eligible bundle |
| Tradeify Select | One-time | $165 | $95 | $0 | $165 | $260 | $355 | $783.75 with eligible bundle |
| Take Profit Trader Test | Monthly | $170 | $99 | $130 | $300 | $399 if passed before renewal | $640 without extra reset | $1,500 |
First pass means the initial evaluation plus activation. One reset, then pass adds one paid reset. Topstep's reset pushes the rebill date out 30 days; Take Profit Trader's reset does not. Three attempts means three monthly charges for Topstep or Take Profit Trader, or one Tradeify purchase plus two resets. The five-account calculation includes Tradeify's automatic 5% discount on eligible Growth 50K and Select 50K bundles but no temporary coupon.
These are cash-outlay scenarios, not pass-rate claims. They do not imply that a trader will pass in a given number of attempts or billing cycles.
02. Why Topstep's $49 path can cost more than its $95 path
Topstep offers two purchase paths with the same $50K Trading Combine rules. Standard costs $49 per month and adds a $149 Express Funded Account activation fee after passing. No Activation Fee costs $95 per month and charges $0 at activation.
| Billed attempts before passing | Standard total | No Activation Fee total | Lower cash outlay |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $198 | $95 | No Activation Fee by $103 |
| 2 | $247 | $190 | No Activation Fee by $57 |
| 3 | $296 | $285 | No Activation Fee by $11 |
| 4 | $345 | $380 | Standard by $35 |
No Activation Fee is cheaper through the third billed attempt under the current list prices. Standard becomes cheaper at the fourth. That is not a universal winner: a trader expecting several billing cycles may prefer Standard's lower monthly cost, while a trader expecting to pass in one to three cycles pays less on No Activation Fee.
Topstep says resets equal the monthly price and move the next rebill date 30 days. Each normal rebill adds a reset credit. Taxes can be added by location, optional Level 2 data is $38 per month, and transaction costs depend on the contracts traded.
Best cost fit: A trader who chooses the path using an honest estimate of time-to-pass. Poor cost fit: Someone who assumes the $49 card price is the complete cost of reaching an Express Funded Account.

03. Tradeify: higher entry price, fewer fixed fees after purchase
Tradeify's Growth and Select evaluations are one-time purchases rather than monthly subscriptions. The official pricing reference lists Growth 50K at $145 and Select 50K at $165. A reset is $95 for either plan, and current Tradeify products have no activation fee.
The first-pass calculation is therefore $145 for Growth or $165 for Select. One reset makes the totals $240 and $260; two resets make them $335 and $355. A trader who does not reset does not pay another evaluation fee simply because more time passes.
Tradeify also publishes a permanent five-account bundle discount for Growth 50K and Select 50K. Five eligible accounts of the same type in one checkout receive 5% off, producing $688.75 for five Growth evaluations or $783.75 for five Select evaluations. Tradeify says bundle pricing can stack with an active promo code, but temporary promotional savings are excluded from the baseline.
Non-professional market data is included if the required agreement is completed. Tradeify warns that failing to complete that status can create a $300-per-month professional data charge. Optional TradingView plans are paid separately, and every trade incurs contract-specific commissions.
Best cost fit: A trader who values a one-time evaluation and wants to avoid activation and recurring evaluation fees. Poor cost fit: A trader expecting repeated breaches, because paid resets still accumulate.

04. Take Profit Trader: regular and NOFEE40 are different models
Take Profit Trader's $50K Test is a monthly subscription with a regular price of $170. Passing normally leads to a $130 PRO activation fee, making the list-price first-pass path $300. A $50K Test reset costs $99 and does not move the original renewal date. A trader who resets once and passes before renewal spends $399 at list price; if the account renews first, another $170 is added.
The firm's current homepage and help center advertise NOFEE40. The offer provides a 40% lifetime discount on the active Test and waives the $130 activation fee through a credit. The firm's own $50K first-pass example is $102 when the trader passes within the first 30 days without a reset. Under those published assumptions, one $99 reset makes the cash outlay $201 if the trader passes before renewal; three discounted monthly charges total $306.
NOFEE40 was visible on July 21, 2026, but the list-price table remains the durable comparison if that offer changes. The checkout should confirm that the code is attached to the intended account before payment.
Best cost fit: A trader who verifies NOFEE40 and understands that resetting does not postpone renewal. Poor cost fit: Someone who treats the $99 reset as a replacement for the next monthly charge.

05. Why My Funded Futures is not in the normalized table
My Funded Futures' public homepage confirmed on July 21, 2026 that Rapid, Builder, and Pro are the advertised lineup, that code 300K advertises 50% off those plans, and that the site promotes $0 activation fees. Its detailed prices are rendered through an interactive purchase flow, while the accessible homepage does not publish the plan-by-plan reset figures required for a reproducible multi-attempt table.
Because this guide compares exact cash paths, MFFU remains outside the normalized table until current list and reset prices can be captured together from the same first-party flow. It should not be assigned a blended “$50K price.” This is a source-completeness decision, not a negative assessment of the firm.

06. Costs the headline table does not include
Trading commissions and exchange fees: Transaction charges depend on the instrument and contract count. Ten micro contracts can cost materially more than one equivalent mini contract. Topstep's official commission page says metals exchange fees increased by $0.05–$0.10 per side starting July 20, 2026. That changes a metals trader's usage cost, not the purchase/reset/activation totals above.
Platform and market-data upgrades: Included access does not make every feature free. Level 2 data, paid TradingView plans, third-party add-ons, and professional market-data status can add recurring costs. Only required fees belong in a universal total.
Taxes: VAT, GST, sales tax, or similar charges vary by location, so every headline total is pre-tax.
Funded-account breach or reactivation: The comparison ends when a trader reaches the first funded-stage account. Reactivation, funded resets, replacement evaluations, or a new account after breach are separate scenarios and can cost much more than an evaluation reset.
07. Five cost checks before buying
- Identify the exact plan and stage; do not blend evaluation, simulated-funded, and live fees.
- Write down whether billing is one-time, monthly, or reset-based—and whether a reset moves renewal.
- Add the activation fee, which can reverse the ranking created by the front-page price.
- Add required technology costs; keep optional tools and usage-based commissions separate.
- Compare first-pass, one-reset, and three-attempt totals before applying a temporary promotion.
The most useful price is not the lowest checkout number. It is the amount a trader is likely to spend under a realistic attempt pattern for the exact plan selected. Compare that cost with the plan's rules in the drawdown guide, the payout guide, and the broader firm comparison.

09. Update log and next review
July 21, 2026: Initial publication with list-price scenarios for Topstep, Tradeify, and Take Profit Trader. MFFU was held outside the normalized table pending a same-flow list/reset capture. Topstep's July 20 metals exchange-fee change was added as a variable-cost note. The next scheduled review is August 21, 2026, or immediately after a material pricing, reset, activation, billing, platform, or data-fee change.
