If a prop-firm payout method is unavailable, stop before changing identity, country, bank, wallet, email, or account details. Confirm that the trading account is payout-eligible, save the exact error and request status, verify country and provider support, finish every required identity check, and use only an alternative the firm publishes or approves for your account.

A missing button does not prove that a payout was denied. An approved request is also not the same as delivered funds. Eligibility, firm review, provider onboarding, and final delivery are separate checkpoints; identify which checkpoint failed before trying to fix it.

The seven-step response

1. Confirm the account is payout-eligible

Open the firm dashboard and record the account type, stage, balance, required buffer, winning-day count, consistency result, minimum request, and displayed payout window. Evaluation accounts are not normally payout-eligible, and simulated-funded and live accounts can use different rules.

Do not rely on a spreadsheet alone. The dashboard's current eligibility state is the first fact support will compare with the request. If the dashboard says the account is ineligible, solve that rule issue before troubleshooting the transfer method.

2. Separate firm approval from provider delivery

A payout can pass through several controls. The firm reviews the trading account and approves or rejects the request. A payment provider then onboards the recipient and sends the funds through a bank, wire, local-currency, or cryptocurrency rail.

Topstep says internal approval can take one to three business days. Its delivery estimates begin with the selected method and exclude weekends and holidays. Tradeify says approved funds generally appear in Rise within 24 to 48 hours; the selected Rise withdrawal method then has its own delivery time. Do not open duplicate requests merely because delivery has not started.

3. Save the exact failure state before retrying

Capture a timestamped screenshot showing the account identifier, payout status, selected method, error message, amount, currency, and dashboard clock. Save the firm's current payout-method page and any provider email. If the option disappeared after approval, preserve the approval confirmation and request or transaction ID.

Topstep's August Wise incident shows why the distinction matters. Approved pending payouts stayed in the processing queue while new Wise requests were temporarily unavailable. Topstep's current status and policy pages say Wise is restored for China, Canada, and the United Kingdom but remains unavailable elsewhere; traders outside those regions should use another available method.

4. Check country, bank, and method eligibility

The same firm can publish different rails for different locations. Topstep currently lists:

MethodPublished availabilityPublished delivery estimateTopstep fee
Prop-to-BrokerageUnited States onlySame day when requested by noon CTNone
AeropayU.S. banks onlyInstant after approval when supportedNone
WiseChina, Canada, and United Kingdom1–3 business daysNone
ACHU.S. banks only1–3 business days$30
Wire / SWIFTInternational5–10 business days$30

These are published estimates, not delivery guarantees. A bank or provider may charge its own fees. A method shown in a general policy still may not appear for an individual account, country, currency, bank, or compliance profile.

5. Complete both identity checks

Do not assume the firm's identity check completes the payout provider's onboarding. Tradeify publishes two distinct steps: identity and anti-money-laundering verification in the Tradeify dashboard, followed by separate payout-provider verification before the first payout.

Tradeify's Rise setup requires identity and tax information, an active withdrawal method, and acceptance of Tradeify's team invitation inside Rise. Use the legal name and email the firm requires. Correct genuine mismatches through official support; never create a second identity, borrow another person's bank or wallet, or change residence information to unlock a rail.

6. Use only a published or support-approved fallback

Tradeify identifies Rise as its primary provider and Plane as an alternative when Rise does not support the trader's country. Its Plane guide describes a manual setup and says the process can take about one week.

That does not make Plane an instant universal choice. Ask Tradeify support which provider is authorized for the specific account. At Topstep, select only a method the dashboard makes available for the trader's location. Do not route funds through a friend, unrelated business, unsupported wallet, or different country profile.

7. Escalate with one compact evidence packet

Send one support request containing:

  • the firm account ID and account stage;
  • the payout request ID, amount, currency, and request time;
  • the unavailable method and exact error text;
  • a screenshot of the dashboard status;
  • the completed firm and provider KYC state;
  • the trader's country and intended bank or wallet rail; and
  • one direct question: should the trader wait, correct data, or use a named alternative?

Ask for the answer in writing. If the account remains eligible, avoid placing new trades merely to refresh the dashboard. A new loss can change the balance or buffer while support is reviewing the withdrawal.

Topstep: regional Wise access is not a general payout freeze

Topstep reported all systems operational and no incident on September 9. Its resolved Wise notice and payout policy say the method is available for traders in China, Canada, and the United Kingdom but remains unavailable elsewhere. The same policy lists Aeropay, ACH, wire/SWIFT, and a U.S. prop-to-brokerage route.

The precise statement is limited Wise availability by geography, not “Topstep payouts are frozen.” The usable fallback depends on country, bank, account stage, fee tolerance, and the choices visible in the dashboard.

Tradeify: Rise is primary and Plane is conditional

Tradeify's current Help Center lists Rise as the main payout method. Rise supports bank transfer, cryptocurrency withdrawals, and local-currency options where available. Setup requires a separate provider profile, identity verification, a withdrawal method, and acceptance of the Tradeify team invitation.

Plane is described as a manual alternative when Rise is unavailable for the trader's country. Tradeify's KYC article uses “Rise exclusively” language immediately before describing Plane as the alternative. Do not infer eligibility from that wording. Ask support which named provider is authorized for the account and retain the answer.

What not to do

  • Do not submit repeated payout requests for the same funds.
  • Do not change residence, tax, email, bank, or wallet details to bypass availability controls.
  • Do not cancel an approved request unless the firm instructs you to do so.
  • Do not call a provider-specific restriction a firm-wide payout freeze.
  • Do not trade against the withdrawal buffer while waiting for clarification.
  • Do not use community screenshots as proof that a method will work for your country or account.

A five-minute pre-request check

Before the next request, verify the account stage and balance in the dashboard, confirm the current method table, complete both firm and provider KYC, check that the legal name and email match, save the request confirmation, and keep enough balance above every published buffer or loss threshold.

If a preferred method is absent, the safest next move is usually documentation plus a written fallback—not improvisation. Identify the failed checkpoint, then change only that checkpoint.
